A product-in-use test with 302 allergy type I patients was conducted to evaluate the characteristics of selected Eucerin® pH5 skincare products. This test was mainly focused on the skin tolerability of the pH5 product after usage.

Groundbreaking studies were conducted to investigate Eucerin® pH5 Lotion, Eucerin® pH5 Cream, Eucerin® pH5 Lotion F and Eucerin® pH5 Cream F concerning their properties to enhance the skin barrier, especially in relation to the hair follicles.

 

  • 420 hair follicles were examined
  • A skin model was used for investigation
  • Pollen allergens were labelled with a fluorescent dye
  • The analysis was conducted by a method called laser scanning microscopy

Conclusion:

Eucerin® pH5 Lotion, Eucerin® pH5 Cream, Eucerin® pH5 Lotion F and Eucerin® pH5 Cream F significantly reduced the penetration of pollen allergens into the hair follicles.
