How does lactic acid work?

Ampho-tensides are special tensides containing positive and negative charges (anionic parts as well as cationic parts). They are known as being especially tolerable and gentle. On top they have an antibacterial action and are therefore especially suitable for blemished skin. A concentration of 6% is effective and not too drying out (i).
