Scientific news presented at EADV in Lisbon

As a result of research and development activities Eucerin presented at
the last EADV in Lisbon poster related to different skin problems:

A new skin care approach for acne prone skin

The combination of anti-inflammatory Licochalcone A, sebum
regulating L-Carnitine, antibacterial 1,2-Decanediol provides an
effective dermocosmetic skin care for acne prone skin. To support the
beneficial effects, a combinatory application of lactic acid containing
night cream is recommendable: Lactic acid, an alpha-hydroxy acid,
displays keratolytic and water binding efficacy. Thus it not only
provides moisture to the skin but also counteracts the formation of
comedones and prepares the skin for an optimal follicular absorption of
actives. Regulating of sebum production, calming inflammation, decreasing
bacterial infection and keratolytic efficacy are the 4 pivotal factors
for the new Eucerin® DermoPURIYFER skin care range for acne prone skin.

Preventive efficacy of a skin care lotion containing Dexpanthenol, Glycerin and Citrate buffer on the exacerbation of allergic skin condition induced by birch pollen in atopic patients

The presented data confirm the high preventive efficacy of
the tested lotion in atopic patients anamnestically known to develop an
exacerbation of their skin condition during pollen season. The extra rich
pH5 Eucerin® Lotion F could be regarded as an effective prevention
strategy to reduce PA-induced exacerbation of skin condition in atopic
patients.

Protective efficacy in PLE by alpha-Glucosylrutin plus Lichochalcone A

The combination of AGR and LicA is highly recommended to
protect PLE-prone skin. The combined actives reduce significantly
intracellular formation of ROS and release of pro-inflammatory
PGE2.Additionally, the combined application of LicA and AGR activates and
induces the cellular anti-oxidants capacity by inducing cytoprotective
enzymes. This combination is available in the new sunscreen formulation
Eucerin® Allergy Protection Creme-Gel SPF 50+  and suitable for the
highly photosensitive skin of patients suffering from PLE.
